FIDAMC becomes Core Partner in Clean Sky 2 on the first call with two major projects, one for the Airbus Large Aircraft passenger and one in the ITD Airframe EADS and Airbus Helicopters
Since last June 23, the Governing Board has signed the acceptance of new members of Core Partner of Clean Sky 2 of the first call, where FIDAMC is part of this group along with other technology centers, Tier 1 and industry.
FIDAMC, in consortia with Cleantech (Tecnalia, CTA Aero and CATEC FADA) and Aernnova group will undertake the scope of the Call ITD Airframe JTI-CS2-CPW-AIR-02-02: Wing and Tail Unit Components Multifunctional Design and Manufacturing.
The main objective of FIDAMC, among others, is to investigate and develop a method of thermoplastic composite components in one step and achieve integrated leading edge and wing in thermoplastics.
On the other hand, FIDAMC with Aernnova group will perform the project to carry out the objectives of the Call for Corepartner JTI-CS2-2014-CPW01-LPA-01-04 where have been also winners.
The main technological objective of the project is to investigate Rear End and develop a set of architectures and technologies in composites for the Section 19 to meet all the new requirements resulting from the installation of two engines counter-rotating open rotor in this section
Additionally, FIDAMC won two other research projects: "REDISH" and "NEODAMP" within the first Call for Proposal of Clean Sky 2 that have been resolved on July 17, 2015.
