FIDAMC is a centre for technology and product development, as well as the manufacture and assembly of prototypes, pre-series products and aerospace spare parts. It also offers laboratory services, training and consultancy in composite materials.

FIDAMC was founded in 2006 with the aim of leading the way in composite materials technology, primarily for the aerospace sector.
\nHowever, FIDAMC has expanded its original remit to add value to other industries, such as shipbuilding, construction and biotechnology. It has also evolved in its use of other technologies, becoming a leader not only in composite materials but also in additive manufacturing and robotics.<\/p>\n

This Research Centre, located in the Parque Tecnol\u00f3gico del Sur in the municipality of Getafe, in Illescas and in C\u00e1diz (CFA), is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and covers an area of approximately 20,000 square metres.<\/p>\n

The Board of Trustees is the governing, representative and administrative body of the Centre, which shall perform the functions corresponding to it, subject to the provisions of current legislation and its Statutes.
\nAt present, representatives of the following organisations are members of the Board of Trustees: Airbus, MTorres, Sonaca Espa\u00f1a, Hexcel, Talgo, Acciona, Navantia, Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid, CDTI and Comunidad de Madrid.
\nThe General Director of the Centre is responsible for the development of the executive and administrative functions of the FIDAMC, being appointed by the Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n
