With 1,700 square metres of facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, this new complex will enable companies to develop innovative projects, as it will serve as a meeting point between universities, technology centres and the companies themselves, allowing both technical development and the manufacturing process to advance hand in hand.
The first projects to be hosted by the new CFA are expected to begin development this October. Specifically, there is already interest from biomedical companies (devices, implants, etc.), others linked to construction (search for sustainable materials), and also from renewable energy companies to channel their projects through this new complex.
Technical management of the CFA entrusted to Fidamc
The technical management of the CFA has been entrusted to Fidamc, a centre of excellence in R&D&I in composite materials with more than 20 years of experience. Its experience with large companies such as Airbus, Navantia, Talgo and Acciona guarantees that the CFA will be launched with a multi-sector approach, focused on the real transfer of knowledge and the promotion of talent.
‘It is not just a building that is opening, but the home of industrial research and innovation in the region. Research is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. Wherever there is investment in knowledge, opportunities multiply and quality jobs are created,’ said Ernesto González, CEO of Fidamc.
