FIDAMC's presence at Transfiere, the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, has been a resounding success. Over the course of the event, we have strengthened strategic alliances, generated new opportunities for collaboration and shared our vision for the present and future of advanced materials.

One of the major milestones of our participation has been the strengthening of our relationship with other technology centres thanks to the Feditstand, which has served as a meeting point to promote synergies within the national R&D&I ecosystem.

Transfiere has also allowed us to get even closer to public institutions, establishing direct contact with representatives of key entities such as Comunidad de Madrid, madri+d Foundation, Andalusian Regional Government, CDTI or the State Research Agency.

This direct contact reinforces our position as a leading technology centre in composite materials and advanced manufacturing, and opens up new avenues for collaboration on strategic projects.

Participation of Javier Romalde in the round table discussion on Advanced Materials

FIDAMC's agenda at Transfiere has been intense. We have attended various talks and round tables on highly relevant topics, with a special focus on dual technologies, a strategic area due to its impact on both the civil and defence sectors.

We also actively participated in the dual technologies workshop organised by Ayming, where opportunities for funding, technological development and knowledge transfer in this field were analysed.

One of the highlights was the participation of Francisco Javier Romalde Quintana, Head of Operations at CFA FIDAMC, in the round table held on Wednesday 25 February in the Science Room, entitled Advanced Materials. In this session, he shared the stage with Gonzalo García Fuentes, Head of Surface Engineering at AIN, and Paula Lorena Bucci, Researcher in charge of biomaterials and computational chemistry at CIDAUT.

During his presentation, Javier discussed the activities of FIDAMC and CFA, their role in the industrial ecosystem, and the added value of composite materials, especially thermoplastic polymers, compared to other traditional solutions.

The different areas in which we work within Advanced Materials were also presented, including mainly thermoplastic polymers, metals and other technical polymers. Special emphasis was placed on the sustainability and recyclability criteria we apply in the selection of materials, as well as how AI can transform their design, optimisation and development, accelerating innovation cycles and improving the performance of industrial solutions.

Our participation in Transfiere 2026 reinforces FIDAMC's commitment to innovation, technology transfer and public-private collaboration. We return with new connections, ideas and opportunities that will contribute to continuing to position ourselves as a benchmark in advanced composite materials and automated manufacturing.

Thank you to everyone who shared this space with us. We continue to move forward.
