Fidamc, an R&D&I and training centre specialising in the development and application of composite materials, has formalised its membership of Andalucía Aerospace, the aerospace and defence cluster that brings together the main companies in the sector in the region.
The incorporation agreement took place within the framework of the 14th edition of Transfiere, the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, which is being held in Malaga. The event was attended by Juan Carlos Southwood, Business Development Manager of Fidamc, and Juan Román, Director of Andalucía Aerospace.
Andalucía Aerospace is a private association that represents the business network of the aerospace and defence sector in Andalusia. Its main objective is to strengthen the positioning of Andalusian companies in national and international markets, promoting actions and projects that boost the competitiveness of the sector at all levels.
Its aims include:
- To promote the sustainable scientific and technological development of the Andalusian aerospace and defence industrial fabric, promoting industrialisation plans to improve the competitiveness of companies.
- To contribute to the training and education of professionals in the sector, promoting the improvement of vocational training at all levels of the company.
- To promote business excellence through synergies between associated companies and the implementation of high added value activities.
- To facilitate the interrelation between companies in the sector, bringing together their interests and defending them before public institutions and regional and autonomous bodies.
- To act as an institutional representative of the sector before national and international organisations.
With this adhesion, Fidamc reinforces its commitment to innovation and technological development in the aerospace and defence sector, contributing to the strengthening of the Andalusian industrial ecosystem. This step is part of our growth strategy in Andalusia, which was given a key boost with the management of the Centre for Innovation in Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (CFA), and reaffirms our commitment to consolidate our position as a key player in the region.
