The 14th edition of Transfiere, the European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, has been a success for Fidamc. This event, held in Malaga, has served as a platform to consolidate strategic alliances and strengthen the ecosystem of innovation and technological development in the aerospace and defence sector.

One of the most important milestones of our participation in Transfiere was the signing of Fidamc's adhesion to Andalucía Aerospace, the aerospace and defence cluster that brings together the main companies in the sector in the region. This agreement, formalised during the fair, reaffirms our commitment to industrial development and technological innovation in the sector.

For Fidamc, this membership is part of our growth strategy in Andalusia, which has gained a key boost with the management of the Centre for Innovation in Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (CFA). This step reaffirms our commitment to consolidate our position as a key player in the region, contributing to the strengthening of the Andalusian industrial and technological ecosystem.

Participation in the round table ‘Defence and Security’

Another of the key moments of our participation in Transfiere was the round table ‘Defence and Security’, where Juan Carlos Southwood, Head of Business Development at Fidamc, shared his vision on the importance of innovation and technology transfer in the defence industry. This debate, moderated by María Nieves Valenzuela Romero, Director General for the Promotion of Innovation at the Regional Ministry of University, Research and Innovation, highlighted the importance of collaboration between companies, technology centres, universities and public administrations to strengthen the defence ecosystem.

During his speech, Southwood highlighted the fundamental role of technology centres in knowledge transfer and innovation. ‘We technology centres must believe that we are the catalysts of both innovation and technological development,’ he said. He also emphasised the importance of reducing dependence on foreign technology and boosting national development.

All in all, Fidamc's participation in Transfiere 2025 has been a resounding success. Joining Andalucía Aerospace and taking part in strategic debates such as the ‘Defence and Security’ round table reaffirms our commitment to innovation, collaboration and technological development in the aerospace and defence sector. We continue to move steadily towards a future of excellence and competitiveness in the industry.
