On November 28th, Fidamc participated as a collaborating entity in the 2nd International Summit on Equality, Non-Discrimination and Diversity, held in Madrid. This event brought together leaders, experts and companies committed to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion at all levels of society and the world of work.
The event took place over an extensive program that included round tables, presentations and debates focused on the importance of breaking down barriers, dismantling prejudices and building more inclusive environments.

Topics such as gender equality in the workplace, the integration of LGTBI diversity in corporate cultures, and ethnic and neurodivergent discrimination were addressed from practical and in-depth perspectives, offering a space for reflection and learning.

One of the highlights was the Igualia Awards ceremony, where Fidamc was honored to receive the Divérsitas Company of the Year (SME) award. This recognition highlights the company's ongoing commitment to building an organizational culture based on equity, diversity and inclusion.

Our head of human resources, Cristina Alia, and our CEO, Ernesto Gonzalez, had the privilege of collecting this award. “This recognition is a validation of all the effort we have put into making Fidamc a space where diversity is not only respected, but celebrated as a strategic strength. It motivates us to continue promoting equality that transcends gender, ethnicity, orientation and perspective. Diversity is the value of organizations,” says Cristina.

Key Reflections from the Summit

The Summit left important reflections on how words, actions and strategic decisions can transform organizational cultures:

• Language creates realities. During the roundtables, it was emphasized how the simple act of naming certain realities can open up new possibilities, while omission perpetuates invisibility and ignorance.

• The gender gap persists. It was mentioned that closing this gap will take more than 130 years at the current pace, underscoring the need for concrete measures such as well-designed equality policies, labor flexibility and inclusive environments that allow all people to reach their full potential.

• LGTBI diversity in the workplace. The importance of including the LGTBI community in the corporate culture was highlighted, from awareness raising to the implementation of specific protocols, such as the accompaniment of trans people. An inclusive culture not only enriches companies, but also strengthens their ability to adapt and succeed in a globalized world.

At Fidamc, we firmly believe that diversity is not only an ethical pillar, but also a driver of innovation and growth. This award reflects our efforts to integrate these values into our daily practice and professional relationships. As Cristina said, “You don't have to belong to a collective to embrace its causes; it's about joining forces and learning every day.”
