Fidamc participated in the Madrid es Ciencia fair, the Community of Madrid’s major science outreach event that makes science a relatable, hands-on, and accessible experience for everyone.
This event, aimed at both the educational community and the general public, brings together schools, universities, companies, and institutions in a unique setting where experimentation is the key to learning. With over 700 interactive activities, Madrid es Ciencia has established itself as a vital space for sparking STEM careers and fostering critical thinking and an innovative spirit.
Our booth: making keychains using resin and carbon fiber
During the fair, we were at booth A28, where we introduced the public to one of our areas of expertise: composite materials.
There, we conducted a hands-on activity designed especially for students, allowing them to experiment firsthand with advanced materials. The activity involved filling silicone molds—shaped like stars, hearts, and other figures—with resin and carbon fiber.
The result of this experience was not only educational but also tangible. Each participant was able to take home their own piece as a souvenir, turned into a keychain after attaching a ring.
This activity allowed students to understand in a simple and direct way how composite materials are worked with, bringing technological concepts to life through hands-on experimentation.
Fostering the Talent of the Future
Our participation in Madrid es Ciencia reinforces Fidamc’s commitment to science outreach and the education of future generations in the field of technology.
Events like this are key to connecting the educational world with industry, showing young people the opportunities offered by disciplines such as engineering and advanced materials.
We remain committed to initiatives that inspire, spark curiosity, and help build the future of innovation.
