Fidamc's participation in the International Paris Air Show held in Le Bourget last week, has represented a strategic step in our purpose of driving technology to move the world, contributing to the evolution of the aerospace and defense sector. This event, considered one of the most important fairs in the world for the aeronautical industry, has allowed us to consolidate relationships, explore new opportunities and present projects that reaffirm our commitment to innovation and industrial competitiveness.

The current context of the sector is exceptional. As our CEO, Ernesto González, points out, “we are living in a unique moment in history, in which the three main pillars of the sector - commercial aviation, defense and aerospace - are growing at the same time”.This scenario offers unprecedented opportunities for companies like Fidamc, whose developments in composite materials, additive manufacturing and industrialization support technologies are set to play a key role. “Our technologies help to reduce costs, improve sustainability and reinforce the positioning of the European aerospace sector as a world leader,” adds González.

Fidamc, a benchmark in industrial innovation

Within this framework, our participation in Le Bourget has had two main axes: on the one hand, to strengthen our network of contacts and strategic alliances; on the other, to present our value proposition in industrial innovation. As Isaac Pérez, Fidamc's director of advanced manufacturing and expansion, explains, the balance of the fair has been “very good”. "It has allowed us to connect with current and potential customers, suppliers and, in general, with the entire ecosystem of the sector. We have analyzed market trends, such as the growing weight of defense, the drive for sustainable air mobility, technological acceleration for the aircraft of the future and the supply chain challenges of the present arising from high demand, and we have found that Fidamc is prepared to respond to these demands," says Perez.

One of the highlights was the official presentation of the Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFA)located in Puerto Real (Cadiz). This initiative, developed by Fidamc and Andalucía TRADE with the support of Airbus, Navantia, the Regional Government of Andalusia and the University of Cadiz, aims to become the reference pole for industrial innovation in Spain and Europe. Financed with more than 18 million euros of FEDER funds, the CFA has cutting-edge technological areas such as additive manufacturing, robotics, metrology, digitalization and drones.

The presentation of the CFA generated a great deal of interest, both during the fair and through subsequent communication. “After the presentation, several companies showed their interest in developing specific projects in the CFA, some of them from sectors other than aeronautics”, says Isaac Pérez. In addition, he recalls that “when we presented in May the bases of the CFA, more than 200 companies were interested in knowing the conditions to present their projects”.

Visits from key institutions

During the fair, Fidamc was visited by key institutions such as the Congressional Delegation of the Defense, Science and Innovation Committee, the Minister of Industry of the Andalusian Regional Government, the Lieutenant General Chief of the Air Force, the Director General of TRADE and international delegations from countries such as Canada and South Korea. In addition, the Fidamc team held meetings with the main OEMs and tier 1 of the sector, reinforcing our positioning in the global ecosystem.

The fair also served to advance projects related to our thermoplastics hub, an initiative that is part of our commitment to innovation in materials. “We want to consolidate our value proposition in thermoplastics, working hand in hand with the sector to respond to its needs and technological challenges,” says Pérez. “We are already working on closing collaborations that will be made public in the coming weeks.”

In short, the Paris Air Show 2025 has been an unbeatable showcase to highlight the work of Fidamc and our commitment to innovation and competitiveness of the sector. Fidamc wants to provide a service to the industry and reinforce the leadership of the European aerospace sector. Our goal is to continue developing technological solutions that help the sector to remain competitive in a time of great transformation.
