At JEC World 2025, the international benchmark event for composite materials, the Composite Technology Center / CTC GmbH - An Airbus Company and the Foundation for Research, Development, and Application of Composite Materials (FIDAMC) have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to advance the development of key technologies for aviation and the hydrogen industry.

 This agreement will focus on three fundamental areas of research and development:

  1. H2 Tanks Technology: The development of hydrogen storage tanks based on advanced composite materials, aimed at improving efficiency, safety, and sustainability in aviation and other mobility sectors.
  2. Thermoplastics Development: Research and optimization of next-generation thermoplastic materials, crucial for manufacturing lighter, stronger, and recyclable structures, thus contributing to a more sustainable and competitive industry.
  3. Smart Structures Development: The implementation of intelligent structures with real-time monitoring capabilities, designed to enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency in aerospace and transportation applications.

The alliance between CTC and FIDAMC will enable the synergy of capabilities and knowledge, driving the development of innovative solutions in composite materials.

With this agreement, both entities strengthen their commitment to decarbonization, energy efficiency, and the competitiveness of the aerospace and advanced mobility sector.
